South African Superstar hospitalised after suffering a stroke

The renowned South African musician Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jr, formally known as Da L.E.S suffered a stroke on 26 July 2024.

This shocking news comes after the rapper posted an apology statement on Instagram on Friday stating that “due to unfortunate circumstances he was not able to attend his birthday celebration”. His family later posted a statement of the reason he missed his birthday party that day saying

“The family of the renowned South African musician Da Les is deeply saddened to inform the public that he suffered a stroke at home on Friday, 26 July 2024 and has been hospitalised. While he is in stable condition, this remains a challenging time for his loved ones, and his family calls on the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult period. Updates on Da Les’ condition will be provided as they become available. Thank you for your continued support.”

The South African superstar released his ninth album called “313” last year November. However, the veteran is known for hits like "Heaven", released in 2013 featuring the late AKA, and Maggz and “Summertime” featuring Ricky Rick.

Moreover, celebrities and fans all over social media wish Da L.E.S a speedy recovery and unwavering love in hopes of not losing yet another millennial star.
