South African Tik Toker reveals why she is permanently moving back to South Africa from Australia

Mahle Majola, a South African Tik Toker recently took to social media that she was leaving Sydney and returning to South Africa. She mentioned that despite enjoying her stay in Australia and having a lot of fun, she still felt like it was time for her to leave.

Some commenters were questioning her ability to make decisions because they thought it was ridiculous for someone to ever want to leave a first-world for a third-world country.

One commenter, @khethokuhle said: “I am trying so hard to understand why you would want to come back to SA when we are trying to leave for better opportunities outside of SA.”

Another commenter, @Nokukhanya said: “Good luck to coming back to load shedding and hectic traffic along with explosions happening every now and then.” Mahle could not let this comment slide and responded to it with a video, letting people know that a country’s wealth and opportunities are not all that a country is about, and that culture also matters. She said that Australia lacks culture and that people there do not enjoy sports the way South Africans do.

Mahle also called out South Africans for constantly airing out the country’s affairs, saying that we as South Africans are horrible ambassadors of our country and always expose ourselves to the rest of the world.

Mahle exclaimed, “Have you heard Australians talk about Australian issues as much as South Africans talk about their issues? Never!”

Other commenters who agreed with her stated that it takes traveling abroad for one to realise that nothing beats home.
