EMPOWERING WOMEN’S RUGBY: SPONSORSHIP DRIVE FOR EPRU AND GRAAFF-REINET U/18s RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS

As the season comes to a close, the Eastern Province High School Rugby Association (EPRU) team has earned a spot in the prestigious provincial Championship, marking a testament to their hard work and dedication. Four under-18 girls of Graaff-Reinet have made history by advancing to this level, showcasing remarkable achievements driven by their hard work, discipline, and passion for the sport.

Graaff-Reinet Women’s Rugby was established in 2022 where women from diverse communities such as Kroonvale, Asherville, Koebergville, and Umzizake began playing street rugby. Out of street rugby Nicole Prince, Monique De Beer, Briyana Visagie, and Chamell Damons are now preparing to compete against the top teams in the province. They are currently seeking sponsorship to support their journey.

Your contribution would be instrumental in helping the trailblazers achieve their goals and inspire future generations of women in rugby. The contribution for each player towards the Tournament is R2717.38. This amount toward each player will support their participation in the National Youth Week at Jeppe High School in Gauteng from the 1st to the 5th of July 2024.

The Eastern Province High School Rugby Association has achieved significant milestones:
