PERSONAL LIFE
Renéve was named after a lady in Cape Town who attended the same church as her mother. The name means "Rebirth" or "Reborn," which is fitting given the circumstances of her survival. At the age of two, Renéve was found drowning in a basin that her mother used for rinsing clothes; it was filled with water. A neighbor discovered her unconscious and already turning blue. Her mother quickly rushed her to a nearby house, just two doors down. There, Renéve managed to cough up the water and regained consciousness.
