Boland Top 12 Ready to Roll

Twelve clubs from across the region are geared up to take their shot as the Sanlam Boland Top 12 brings another high-stakes rugby battle to the field, with the opening matches scheduled for Saturday, 17 October.

Twelve clubs from six regions will meet in what promises to be a major showcase of grassroots talent across the Boland. Robertson RFC and Multisure Villagers Worcester RFC represent Breede Langeberg; Invincible RFC and Delicious RFC carry the flag for Noordweste; Hawston RFC and Safcol RFC come from the Overberg; Wesbank RFC and Abbotsdale RFC represent the Swartland; Saldanha Bay RFC and Vredenburg RFC fly the Weskus flag; and Roses United RFC and Bella Vista RFC represent Witsentraal.

For supporters across these regions, this is far more than a standard fixture list. Club social media pages are already buzzing with fans backing their teams as excitement builds toward kickoff. After grueling regional campaigns, these 12 clubs now have a premier stage to prove their mettle.

While internal tournament structures kicked off on 10 October, the first on-field matches were adjusted to 17 October to accommodate Roses United’s ongoing Pick n Pay SA Gold Cup commitments. Supporters planning to attend are advised to check their club’s official social media channels before travelling for the latest venue and kickoff updates.

Several clubs have already spotlighted their key players ahead of the tournament. Abbotsdale features forward Eschelle Josias, while Saldanha Bay counts Samuel Greyling and fullback Craig van Rensburg among its ones to watch. Villagers Worcester will be led by captain Henrico van Wyk, and Safcol United will look to seasoned campaigner Benjamin Dwayi. Robertson Town has highlighted playmaker Jumainiune Arendse, while Roses United showcases Jason Fortuin.

These standout names are just the tip of the iceberg; team chemistry and tactical adaptability will dictate who survives the five-round campaign. With all fixtures officially confirmed, the countdown is on. Reputation won't win this tournament—what happens when these 12 sides clash on the turf will.

The first whistle is about to blow. Let the games begin.
