Bok Duo amongst Four to be handed Test Debuts
The Springboks will hand test debuts starts to backs Jordan Hendrikse and Edwill van Der Merwe as they tackle an optimistic Wales side on Saturday.
The match played on the 22nd of July on England’s home ground of Twickenham will be a tough affair as Wales are looking to inflict a 1st defeat on the Springboks who are consecutive World Cup Champions.
The build-up starts at 14:00, while kick-off is scheduled for 15:00. Springboks named a strong squad with a mixed breed of youth and experience through whom they will be looking to get the better of the underdogs Wales.
Wales coach Warren Gatland and his side are excited about the prospect of playing against the current World Champions. Wales will be looking to produce a quality display and ultimately to cause a huge upset.
Springboks Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus is very optimistic about the inclusion of inexperienced campaigners Edwill Van Der Merwe, Jordan Hendrikse, and Ben- Jason Dixon. Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu will be another one looking forward to making an impressive debut when coming of the bench with Dixon.
All the players look fantastic in training and will be aiming to bring that confidence onto the pitch, according to Erasmus.
Evan Roos, Salmaan Moerat, Aphelele Fassie, and Ntuthto Mchunu will be looking toward stellar performances in the green and gold as they are back in the fold after picking up a couple of caps in recent years.
This is sure to be a mouthwatering clash between two of rugby’s heavyweights and both teams will be looking to win this crunch test.
