The birth of Good Hope Country

The birth of Good Hope Country came after a failed attempt to work with a Khoi King, and the people moved and discussed taking the fight for freedom forward.

According to George Williams, Chairperson and National Advisory Council, said that Good Hope Country is a newly formed Statehood exercising external Self-Determination from RSA. This process is recognized in the RSA Constitution, UNDRIP, and supported by various UN Resolutions for us as the First Nation of this country.

The United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP) is a document that was signed on 13 September 2007 by 144 countries, including South Africa. The UNDRIP criteria for a Nation to exercise Self Determination is,

A defined territory
A permanent population
A government that can enter into trade with other countries.

Good Hope Country delivered a Declaration of Independence to Government on the 7th of October 2021. The Declaration of Independence is the Khoi, San and so-called Coloured people of South Africa declare as a collective their independence on this National Self Determination.

The Indigenous people of concern, consider the declaration as a commemoration of all fallen heroes and warriors who fought and lost their lives in the line of duty.
